We spent time with Hazlett last year at his sold out show in Lafayette. From the outset it was clear to see just how much Hazlett's fans mean to him, coming down both before and after the show to do a meet & greet, sign pictures and just talk to one another.

If you follow any of Hazlett's social media accounts you'll be able to see just how close he holds his fanbase, regularly re-posting fans videos that they've captured at his various shows or even just them listening to one of his new releases. To see this connection first hand was beautiful, each interaction Haz had with one of his fans seemed like he had known the person forever, exchanging laughs, stories and inspirations.

“Please Don’t Be,” his most streamed track to date, holds that same spirit. It’s everything fans have come to cherish about Hazlett—honest, tender, and a little raw in the best way. The song unfolds like a quiet conversation, like he’s sitting across from you, asking you to stay soft in a world that keeps trying to harden us. It’s introspective without feeling distant, heartfelt without trying too hard. Just like Haz himself.

When Hazlett dropped “Blue Jean,” it immediately felt like one of those songs that settles into your bones before the first chorus even hits. It’s new, sure—but it already feels like it’s been with us for years. That’s the thing about Hazlett’s music. It doesn’t just arrive, it lingers.
